We make Ethically Hooked Drama commercially structured storytelling that delivers connection, not just shock. From feature films and returnable television to mobile-first vertical drama, we develop and produce stories that entertain first and resonate after. Escapism, comedy, mystery, romance, grief, redemption — the genres vary; the spine doesn’t. Every project celebrates the hope, grit and quiet courage of the human spirit, rendered with the craft and edge that modern audiences expect.
How we choose our stories
Kindness isn’t an aspiration at Be Kind Productions. It’s a discipline.
Every project we develop or take on is tested against the Be Kind Story Code — our proprietary framework, built on values-led storytelling, that asks one essential question of every script: is kindness the dramatic engine of this story, or just the wallpaper?
It’s a high bar, deliberately. Plenty of well-made, award-worthy drama doesn’t belong here — and that’s fine. The Code is what makes “Be Kind” mean something specific when you see it on a title card: a promise to the audience about how a story will treat them, and how it will treat its characters.
We wear multiple hats because there’s much to do — developing our own IP, partnering with writers and producers who share our instincts, and bringing values-led stories to screens of every size.
What you won’t find here
Cruelty as entertainment. Cynicism as a worldview. Despair dressed up as depth. Not because we look away from darkness — our stories go to hard places — but because we believe the braver creative choice is showing what people do with the darkness.
Our roots
Be Kind Productions is inspired by the values work pioneered by producer, Premila Puri, through the registered charity Be Kind Movement — a decade of putting kindness to work in the real world, now adapted for the screen.
